On that same trip when Fish and I ate at a KFC, we walked past another KFC that was so full that about a dozen children and their parents were waiting outside for tables to become available. It was comical, and sad, to see a KFC employee leading the children in calesthenics while they waited to chow down on empty calories. Obesity among children is a new but rampant phenomenon.  Young Chinese have access to sugary soft drinks, chips, and fast food and seem to enjoy them.  I guess that is our culinary legacy to the world.
