I wouldn't expect you to notice it on your own, but there's a four-foot bamboo stick that you can see on the right-most flag pole.  Each pole has a bamboo  stick to support its flag.

Don't ask me to explain, but he's painting those poles green.

Baskets are another bamboo product.
