| One of you suggested that I feature a book store visit, so this is Book City, the major book store here in Qingdao. It's on a nice green corner at a major intersection in the center of town. That temporary, inflatable arch is a common attention-getter. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| And here's the store directory in the lobby. As you see, there are six floors to the store: a basement floor (designated as -1F) and five floors above ground. |

| (I have noticed a lack of consensus on how to designate a basement. The elevator in my building, for example, has a B1 and a B2. But, what I find even more interesting, is that the F obviously stands for Floor in English and the B stands for Basement in English.) | |||||||||||||||||||||
