Chicken eggs in China are brown.
And not all eggs in the store are chicken eggs.
So, when you want chicken eggs, you'd better say chicken eggs.
You might recall that the first eggs I bought were gray, and that, when I'd gotten them home and had looked more closely at the packaging, I'd seen two ducks swimming in a pond.
Well, the fact that I'd even bought those eggs packaged in a carton instead of bulk meant that I was strange. I've since come to realize that the chicken eggs and duck eggs in cartons are actually often organic eggs or differentiated for some other reason.
