Counting to 10 for Jacob GO TO PAGE 2 OF 3 BACK TO DATE PAGE
Now that I've grossed out Emily, it's time to do something for her older brother Jacob.  He's coming to China this spring as a member of a boys' choir that will be performing here in several cities over the course of ten days.  He will be on the Great Wall on Easter Sunday.
I'm tired of "gross" food stories for a while, so I'm not going to talk about what we do with the various parts of a fish's head like the eyes, cheeks, and gills.  I'll leave that for Jacob to find out for himself when he's here.

Instead, here is a roll from lunch at work the other day that was made in a fish shape.  It is unleavened, possibly boiled, and the best I can do to describe its taste and consistency is to tell you to think of a bagel.
Now for counting with your fingers.  My co-worker Daisy modeled for me.
I just have to mention that, when she first introduced herself to me with her English name she said:  "Daisy, you know, like Donald Duck's girlfriend."
