| Now that I've grossed out Emily, it's time to do something for her older brother Jacob. He's coming to China this spring as a member of a boys' choir that will be performing here in several cities over the course of ten days. He will be on the Great Wall on Easter Sunday. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| I'm tired of "gross" food stories for a while, so I'm not going to talk about what we do with the various parts of a fish's head like the eyes, cheeks, and gills. I'll leave that for Jacob to find out for himself when he's here. Instead, here is a roll from lunch at work the other day that was made in a fish shape. It is unleavened, possibly boiled, and the best I can do to describe its taste and consistency is to tell you to think of a bagel. |

| Now for counting with your fingers. My co-worker Daisy modeled for me. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| I just have to mention that, when she first introduced herself to me with her English name she said: "Daisy, you know, like Donald Duck's girlfriend." | |||||||||||||||||||||||
