	It was fun watching them try something new, and, of course, I had my share as well. Interestingly, the Chinese kitchen does not have a spatula.  The closest thing in appearance to it is a wooden paddle, and my tutor showed us the little whiskbroom-like utensil that she uses to perform the bowl-cleaning task that we use a spatula for.  Everyone was intrigued with the large and small spatulas that we had brought along as gifts. Karen had remembered that the Chinese teachers who'd stayed at our house in Cincinnati had brought home spatulas when they'd returned to China, so in January I'd brought back some for everyone in the Office plus extras for others.
			And, lo and behold, these Pampered Chef spatulas are Made in America!
