I guess I shouldn't 've been surprised, but my wife Karen asked me whether the Carrefour store I featured in the department store posting on December 28th was related to the store she remembered from France.  How come they're always smarter than we are?!  Yes, Carrefour is French, and Jusco down the road is Japanese.  Last time we visited the second floor department store.  Today, let's go grocery shopping on the first floor.  I stop here at Carrefour every day on my way home.

I can't expect you to be able to read those toothpaste cartons up there, but more say Colgate or Crest than any Chinese brand.  This is where I found an acceptable Revlon shampoo conditioner and a Nivea aftershave "replenishing balm."

And they've got fruits 'n veggies galore.
