Of course, these don't look much like the eggs we know.  I bit into the egg and propped it up onto my spoon so you could appreciate the gooey, bluish liquid inside.

The transformative magic is in the marinade.  Nowadays they use a chemcal substitute for the active ingredient in the old-time marinade.

My next challenge for you is to guess what the old-time marinade was.
