Day Three of ?

When I looked down from my apartment toward the entrance of the office building across the street and saw this couple stop at the bottom of the stairs with a red box underarm, I dashed for my camera.

Sure enough, they were up to their firecracker thing. It was 1:30 Saturday afternoon--the third and final official national day of the New Year's holiday.  Not that that makes much difference, because I just heard firecrackers in the distance, as though on cue, and right now it's the afternoon of day four.  Who knows, this might well continue all the way through day 15, the Lantern Festival.
