Qingdao is really excited about being the venue for the sailing events at the 2008 Summer Olympics. I took this picture yesterday afternoon.  It's the countdown clock on the large green space in front of the municipal building facing the

ocean.  There were 252 days, 6 hours, 11 minutes, and 57 seconds left until the Olympics open in Beijing next August.  That's a large scupture of a flame in the background down on the waterfront.

This billboard wraps around a large construction site on the corner where I catch my bus to work.
