| If I'm not mistaken, this is a representation of Lu, the Chinese god of prosperity. He is the god of high-rank affluence, and he symbolizes the opportunity to better oneself and receive high rewards. I have seen this deity represented in several company owners' offices, but this is the first time that I have actually photographed it. The factory tour guide, on second thought, wasn't very happy that I had taken this picture, but I had asked permission beforehand, and I wasn't told to erase it, which I would have done upon request. The traditional gods are alive and well in China. |
