Saturday Lunch BACK TO DATE PAGE
I had a luncheon feast at the home of old and new friends today.

And I wasn't the oldest person present for a change.

We started with tea.
There were cherry tomatoes, fresh strawberries, peanuts, sunflower seeds, and almonds.  It was mentioned that the almonds were from the United States.

We moved to the table.  Had those darn slippery metal chopsticks.  Started with liver pate and fish cakes.  They taught me the trick of how to suck the fish off the bones while holding the fish cake with chopsticks.

The white lightening was offered and accepted.  It actually came in a brown ceramic jug.  I had half a glass and switched to beer.
This is the list of goodies that I can remember: snails, shrimp, mussels, jellyfish, octopus, Auntie's homemade sausage, and a whole fish.  We live by the sea and enjoy its bounty.

And then to top it all off, we had dumplings stuffed with plants harvested in the wild.

With oranges for dessert.

A young family member broke into tears when she woke up from her nap and saw me.  Guess my big nose scared her.
