I wish to report that I have no severe cravings for a single item except a kiss from my wife Karen. I've come to realize that absolutely everything else is available here. Potato chips come in fruit, meat, and vegetable flavors, which certainly don't light my fire, but I've finally found Lay's "Classic American Flavor", which, although produced in Shanghai, tastes perfectly American to me. And, as the guy who's used to popping popcorn every night right after dinner, I was concerned when, at first, all I could find was banana-flavored popcorn and chocolate-flavored popcorn. But then I tracked down salted microwave popcorn. Even made in America! What more could a big-nosed 'lao ren' want, anyway! (Except a kiss from his wife.) |
