| The Long Corridor ends here at the Marble Boat, where Chinese royalty used to take tea. The emperor wanted to build a real boat, but a Feng Shui Master pointed out that a boat is like an empire--it floats on a lake of people (and can overturn and sink). So this "boat" is one piece with its dock and rests on the bottom of the lake in an attempt to make a statement about the steadfastness of the empire. | ||||||||||||
