In the few parts of China where I've traveled, KFC has been the clear winner among American franchises.  Of course, their menu reflects China, and KFC here offers fish sandwiches and hamburgers as well as chicken. I've eaten in a KFC only once, and that was when I was traveling with Fish.  You can order a meal with fries and drink by the number--just like in the States--and I didn't pay close enough attention to what I was ordering because I got a surprise fish sandwich instead of the chicken sandwich I thought I was ordering.
