| Mentioning not having noticed any live scorpions at Carrefour made me think of the turtle tank next to the fish tank and the other live sea-critter tanks. I'm not sure what you do with these turtles, but I'm positive they're not meant to be pets. | ||||||||||||||

| Let's do some calculating and see whether these turtles seem like a bargain. The sign says 188 RMB for 500 grams. One RMB is a little over fourteen cents these days. And a kilogram is 2.2 pounds. So, you can take home and do whatever you want with the live turtle of your choice for just under $24 a pound. Must be pretty tasty for that premium price. |
